Moy McCrory, daughter of Irish parents, grew up in Liverpool, and now lives in Derby. She has published three collections of short stories and one novel. Her writing has been published in various anthologies and has been translated into French, Russian, Vietnamese and German. After her novel came out in Germany she was invited to become a visiting writer at Bremen University. She currently lectures in creative writing at the University of Derby and is working on two new books: a novel and series about cinema. Tonight she will talk about her own experience of being Irish in Britain.
